Andrew Dibben

Landscape and Marine Artist

Andrew Dibben studied at Bournemouth College of Art and Norwich School of Art. He finished his studies in 1972, and became a full-time professional artist in 1989. Since then he has specialised in landscape and marine subjects in diverse styles. A large number of prints have been produced from his paintings, which have sold in some 30 different countries worldwide.

Dibben has had commissions from a number of large shipping companies in Europe, Scandinavia, and the USA, including P&O Cruises and Fred.Olsen Lines, and his paintings hang aboard many of their ships as well as in their offices.

His recent watercolour landscape work has seen a simplification of style, and a preference for dramatic dusk and night-time scenes of the wilder parts of the North Norfolk region. He also likes to paint when travelling, in Europe and very occasionally further afield.

Andrew Dibben’s next major exhibition will be at the Picturecraft Gallery, Holt, North Norfolk, 24 - 30 August 2007. At this show there will also be contributions from Andrew’s wife, Ann, their daughter, Amy, and their niece, Sally, - all artists in their own right.
